I had a very disappointing experience with this ACLS class. Class was scheduled at 9:30 AM, but the instructor was not there on time. When I called the contact person, La-Von she said she was ‘right down the street’ and would be there in a few minutes, as I was left waiting.

Once we finally entered the building, there was no electricity, and I was informed that the instructor would be unable to teach the class that day. I was told I’d have to reschedule and come back on a different weekend. This was extremely inconvenient and unprofessional, especially as I drove an hour and a half based on my travel nurse agency’s recommendation of this location.

I don’t recommend this class to anyone looking for a professional, reliable certification experience.

I have an appointment today for a acls class and nobody showed up, they charged me for the class and the phone numbers listed on the website or here doesn’t belong to them. Looks like a scam to me. Apparently happens before. Do not pay anything.

Mrs. La-Von is an excellent nurse educator. I am a nurse case reviewer in an office setting and do not use my BLS training but as an RN it is required. I feel confident if I needed to use it, I am ready. I took her class 2 years ago and knew then I would be returning. I enjoyed her class, she gets my critical thinking juices going. For those new to BLS it is a safe place to learn, she is easy going but thorough. Her teaching style makes her class engaging. La-Von combines the AHA videos/book, with her years of experience as a nurse/nurse educator, and before you know it class is over. I highly recommend her and like 2 years ago, I will be back for recertification. Thank you La-Von for loving what you do because it shows in your teaching.

I’ve come here for my BLS certification twice now and have loved the experience. The instructor is phenomenal and does a great job of teaching you everything that you need to know to be successful in the course. I will be coming back to renew my certifications for years to come! 🙂

Mrs. La-Von is an exceptional instructor. I attended Mrs. La-Von Lopez's BLS instructor class and Better Business Bootcamp. She is very detailed when providing information and genuinely cares a loves what she does! She is very knowledgeable about CPR, nursing, business, and lots of other things and does not hesitate to answer any questions that you may have. She made everyone feel very comfortable in her class, there was always great energy, and she always told us to speak up there is no judgement in her class! I really feel that I have gained tons of knowledge and skills and will be taking the ACLS Instructor class with her as well! Thanks again!

She kept me engaged the entire classes and she has a great way of keeping your attention and keeping you hungry for more. You definitely will fill your cup up taking one of her classes. I would highly recommend any one of her classes. I attended Mrs. La-Von Lopez's BLS instructor class and Better Business Bootcamp. She gives a lot of information/mentorship on how to start, maintain, and grow your business. I can still hear her saying "don't half step!" even after class. I feel she genuinely wants everyone she encounter to succeed. Mrs. La-Von Lopez is very knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Also, for anyone that is a little anxious about taking BLS or Heartsaver classes, I would definitely recommend her as your class instructor. Mrs. Lopez is very nice, pleasant attitude, inviting, and understanding. The best part of her class, for me, was how comfortable everyone seem with each other during the class. Her class environment was inviting, nonjudgmental, and good energy. This type of environment made it easier for me to learn and retain more information. So, I will be taking my next instructor courses (ACLS/PALS) with her in the near future.
