Awful high school. Has gone very downhill, too strict, barriers everywhere in school so you have no freedom to go where you like at lunch and break (your own free time), don't handle bullying unless it starts getting physical, can't see a councillor unless you have a mental illness, makes the pupils feel insecure when they're told to rub their make up off, cancelled work experience and spent the money on buying more tv's (not thinking of kids education). Do not recommend sending your children here.

Terrible school that is poorly run. More interested in handing out inconsistent punishments rather than getting the best out of pupils. If your child has any SEN then avoid as they just aren’t interested in helping

Great school best ever if you're in year six you are helped around by all the pupils and staff definitely would reccomend Balshaw's as your first choice!
