I LOVE MY NEW LEGAL NURSE CONSULTING CAREER!!!! After 16 years of clinical nursing practice and administrative experience, I have finally found my professional calling, and I love it. Prior to 2015, I had never heard of legal nurse consulting, but after posting our plans to move form Texas to Oregon on LinkedIn, an attorney contacted me in regards to becoming a CLNC and reviewing medical cases for his firm. That is when I found Vickie Milazzo and the Vickie Milazzo Institute (VMI). I did not know at that time how drastically my life was about to change. After completing the VMI program and obtaining my certification as a Legal Nurse Consultant, my wife and I quit our stable administrative careers, and our family moved from Texas to Oregon. My wife and I began developing and implementing our business and marketing plans for our CLNC business, Malaer Legal Nurse Consulting LLC, just as the VMI program had recommended. As we began marketing to law firms and insurance companies and exhibiting at legal conferences, our business began to grow. The VMI mentoring program provided critical and highly useful insights and recommendations during this time. After only three months, we had established professional relationships with five or six attorney-clients and had matched our combined monthly income from our previous employment. Now in our third year of business, Malaer Legal Nurse Consulting LLC has become a highly profitable business with an annual earning potential over $500,000. Due to the exponential growth of our business, we have hired other CLNCs trained through the VMI to work as subcontractors for our business.

My wife and I have personally thanked Vickie Milazzo for changing our lives which has allowed us to help change the lives of the CLNC subcontractors that work with us. Vickie's passion for legal nurse consulting is contagious, and she and her team celebrate each CLNC's successes along with them. Vickie and her team are supportive, motivational, and, most important, willing and able to share their knowledge and experience with novice and expert CLNCs alike. Even after working on over 300 cases as a CLNC, I encounter new scenarios and learning opportunities in which the VMI mentors have always been able to provide significant insights and ideas that I had not considered. As a VMI-prepared CLNC, you become part of a very large and supportive family that work together, celebrate wins and accomplishments together, and provide assistance for one another.

The only regret I have concerning becoming a CLNC through the Vickie Milazzo Institute is that I waited so long to do so. I wish I had done it 10 years ago. I no longer have to worry about staffing, ineffective communication, call-ins, covering shifts, or any of the other million stressors associated with clinical nursing practice. I have the freedom to volunteer at my son's school, be actively involved in his extracurricular activities, and spend quality time with my wife and family. My work is valued and appreciated, and I am adequately compensated for my work product. If I had worked in my previous administrative nursing position for the rest of my career, I would never achieve the level of income I receive in only my third year as a CLNC. I have personally thanked Vickie Milazzo for changing my life, and I chose to write this review for the VMI because I know she can change yours too.

I would not be where I am today had it not been for the Vickie Milazzo Institute. The VMI provided me with all the necessary information I needed in order to take my nursing career in a different direction. Not only did she teach me what a CLNC does, and how to utilize the information, she provided me with the foundation of marketing and business development - an area I knew nothing about. I followed the marketing strategies taught in the course, which led me to where I am today. Now I am living the professional dream - working from home, being my own boss, setting my own hours, and making more money than my hospital job. One of the best parts about the Vickie Milazzo Institute is once you become certified, it's not over! The education doesn't stop once you complete those first 40 hours. The mentoring offered is extremely beneficial - especially when I was first starting out. The mentors were always so helpful in guiding me in the right direction and answering my questions. Vickie provides us with multiple opportunities to network in order to meet other CLNC's - some of which have become my very close friends. I have been doing this career now for four years, and sometimes I still can't believe it's real!

I went through the Vickie Milazzo Institute certification program in 1992, and I have worked as a full-time CLNC since that time. The program was extremely extensive. It provided me with the education and tools I needed to begin working as a CLNC. I not only learned the information that is necessary to function as a competent CLNC, but I was also prepared to be a confident CLNC. I had no legal background going into the program, which as a concern of mine. But I learned everything I needed to know in the program to be able to work with the attorneys, and to provide them with the help they need and want. One of my favorite things about the program was that after I became certified, I received mentoring from experienced CLNC mentors. It was so helpful and comforting to know that all I had to do was ask, and I got help from CLNCs to answer my questions, or just to confirm I was on the right track. I can't say enough good things about Vickie and her program. I received a top-notch education, and the tools and support to be successful. I cannot imagine what my life would be like if I had not made the decision to become a CLNC.

I would do it again in a heart beat!!! After years of working in the hospital world and becoming disillusioned with what nursing was becoming I knew I needed a retirement / escape plan. Legal Nurse Consulting has allowed me to walk away from my 14hour days to working from home in my PJs. And no more call!!! I was nervous at first wondering if I had the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful, then I attended the five day certification class, and I knew that I did. I started by checking out the online class to prepare for the live class. I loved them both. The online class gave me insight and a preview of the live class. Now I know I could have easily passed the exam by preparing with the online version but I loved being in the classroom, talking to other CLNCs and getting to hear Vickie first hand. I learned everything I needed to know about this business. Vickie holds nothing back. When I got home I implemented everything she talked about, and everything she said worked, I am now happily self employed as a CLNC and working with other CLNCs who have done the class and designed their own success. When I am uncertain about what my next step should be, or how to handle something in a case, I know all that I have to do is send in a mentor request or better yet call the institute. They are my lifeline to success. If anyone ask me if they should take the course, I would say only do it if you really want to be successful as a CLNC. The certification is not the magic here. The certification gives you the knowledge you need to be a CLNC. Vickie and her team give you the support you need to be successful in your business. You just have to be willing to do the work. This is an excellent program.

I had been a nurse for a long time when I took the VMI certification course. I certainly knew how to review medical records. However, I did NOT know how to review them for an attorney, and how to find what the attorney needed to assist in a law suit. This course taught me how to analyze records in a way that would benefit my attorney clients. It also taught me how to provide the information to them, either in a written format or verbally. I also gained the confidence to grow my business. As nurses, we are not used to "selling ourselves" and our virtues as a nurse. I learned how to do that with ease. There was a lot of support from the Institute, and that support gave me the confidence to grow my business and, walk the walk and talk the talk. Becoming a CLNC gave me independence and unlimited opportunities. There are many different types of attorneys who need our services. The work is challenging and for me, it has been the opportunity of a lifetime. I can take my work with me wherever I go, I can work from home and I can get new challenges every day. Being a CLNC makes me very happy!

Vickie Milazzo is a greedy person. On January 16, 2015, I purchased the course, offered by Vickie Milazzo, costing four thousand dollars. Nine weeks after my purchase, I suffered a major stroke. I was hospitalized for over four weeks. I underwent five surgeries. In essence, Vickie Milazzo said she was sorry about my health, but she refused to refund any of my money. She claims that I was not eligible for a refund after thirty days. I currently suffer with blindness, severe memory loss, aphasia, and daily headaches. Please do your self a favor and look for a different source for this information. I wish I had never heard about this program. I am out four thousand dollars with nothing to show for it.
